"..moving us away from traditionalism" - I'd like to see this page moving beyond making implicit judgements of other religions (such as, I presume, "traditionalism" referring to Catholicism). If this sentence said something like: "..moving away from the perceived limitations of Catholicism" (note, also dropping the "us"), then I think it would be setting a better precedent for discussing Protestantism and the thinking that provoked the Reformation. Note that on Wikiversity, while we will not be applying the concept of neutrality in the same way is done on Wikipedia (see w:WP:NPOV), we will still want to educate people in a broad sense, rather than 'limit' thinking (that's the best way I can put it for now) in the introduction to a subject. How far are we willing to go as a "versity"...

Should we include as much information as we can but section it off in such a way that it isn't overwhelming. To have a huge page on "Protestantism" would put people off. But if we had smaller pages including the same information, they would get more out of it. --StephenDeloney 21:14, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Certainly as regards the Islands of the North Atlantic, the lollards played a major role in developing protestantism with out the benefit of a printing press.Harrypotter 23:07, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

Topic page

"What I hope to see here is sort of a "layperson's guide" to Protestantism, not a lot of lengthy discources or debates on the various theologies. I would like this to start with a short history of the church, then move into more of the regional history of Europe and finally into the various "flavors" themselves." This is a topic page, and should serve as a resource to help people find specific pages developed for a variety of educational approaches dealing with protestantism.
