How to write and draw[edit source]

Hey  AvidInsight.  In the current page, we read the following two sentences.  A line has one dimension.  It is represented by a line with two arrowheads, but it extends without end.  However, we see no arrow in this first section.

"Key Concept" again is the title of the last section.  There we read that  AB  may denote a line or a segment.  In my opinion, two different objects cannot have the same denotation.  Given two distinct points  A  and  B,  the writing  [ AB ]  is it correct to denote the segment with endpoints  A  and  B,  while  ( AB )  could denote the straight line passing through  A  and  B ?
