Beyond Objective Reality

[edit source]

There are many conjectures concerning existence beyond our objective (e.g. material) reality. This is not (yet) addressed in the course. Perhaps a complementary course could consider topics such as: 1) attaining pure awareness, 2) seeing beyond the illusion of the self. 3) non-dual awareness, 4) natural inclusion, and 5) worlds beyond objective reality. --Lbeaumont (discusscontribs) 18:09, 17 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Transcending Wrestlemania - Applying this in practice

[edit source]

The approaches described in this course are difficult to apply in practice. A prerequisite seems to be attaining the socratic disposition of the participants. Street Epistemology can help with this. But first we may need to reduce the polarization that is so prevalent. Link to my forthcoming article on this. Lbeaumont (discusscontribs) 13:09, 26 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Challenge confidence to change beliefs

[edit source]

See this videon by Dan Ariely on how to change a person's beliefs. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/danariely_psychology-activity-7226594214396981249-MBDx?

He suggests beginning by demonstrating that the person's confidence in what they believe is overestimated. This can help us reach common ground. Consider how this can be integrated into the article. Lbeaumont (discusscontribs) 13:44, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
