@Par304: Thanks for your efforts to try to improve the flow of the text in this article.

Am I correct that you felt it was useful to retain the magnitude, 7.4 billion, of the world population, and deleting the note was incidental?

I think it's important to keep the note. I don't care if it says 15 or 16 percent. My computation said it's 15.6 percent; when I wrote "1.146 / 7.349 = 0.15", the 0.15 was in error.
