With the right explanations, you can explain difficult concepts to anybody! Username142857 (discusscontribs) 08:10, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Username142857: Would it be possible to integrate this with Complex Numbers? This is hard to find if the beginning of the name is "Explanation". One approach would be to take the existing Complex Numbers and make it a subpage of itself so that the final Complex Numbers page is an overview / landing page that would include links to the current content and your new explanation content. Thoughts? -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 22:57, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. That would be cool. Having a Complex Numbers page that links to both Complex Numbers and Explanation of Complex Numbers. However, the former is very advanced and I don't think it's good teaching material, especially if your students don't know algebra, so I think we should actually remove Complex Numbers, then rename my resource 'Complex numbers'. What do you think about that? Username142857 (discusscontribs) 07:41, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Username142857: We typically try to preserve others contributions somehow, if they could add potential value. What you see now is a common approach. I think the Advanced Study lesson should be split up into one or more separate lessons, but this was a quick start to keep you moving forward. Feel free to edit / restructure this page, the landing page, and the advanced study page as you see fit. Be bold! -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 15:38, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. How do you want it split? Also, I noticed that the first part of the Advanced Study page duplicates the scope of the introduction; it's just phrased with needless complexity (pun intended), so maybe we could remove that section altogether? @Username142857: I assume you are the expert (or at least semi-expert) in the subject. You would know better than I how to organize it. My expertise in this regard is in curriculum design. I just know it needs better organization. See Wikipedia: Chunking (psychology) for more information on why it needs better organization.
When I work on curriculum design, I first look at other examples, particularly those that have been peer reviewed. I recommend looking at the OpenStax book chapter I linked from the landing page for suggestions on how to organize lessons on complex numbers.
Yes, you can (and should) remove or merge duplicate content. If you merge content, include a link to the original somehow, typically in the edit summary. Thanks! -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 16:25, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The advanced study page was deleted by a bot, so can you delete 'Complex Numbers' then move 'Complex Numbers/Introduction' to 'Complex Numbers' Username142857 (discusscontribs) 05:57, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think there's still an advantage to having a landing page. It provides an overview and links to additional resources, and could grow over time. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 13:48, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Can you look at some of the other resources I made, to see if they are good? Username142857 (discusscontribs) 09:47, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Username142857 The content seems good. I'd like to see it put together into a learning project. Wikipedia is individual topic pages. Wikiversity's structure is a collection of pages together as a course or learning project. It seems like your interests would line up well with building on and improving Numbers. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 23:37, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
