Add template here, or add a disambiguation?[edit source]

This is the page that corresponds to the education key term. It's not an exhaustive guide of what education means. I've added a template that I am working on. The plan is to focus the template to the best possible set of resources for education as a subject. It's not focussed yet because it directs to education as a Wikiversity interest. If anyone feels that a disambiguation would be the better option I am open to that change. Regards Brett Johnston (discusscontribs) 10:04, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Brett Johnston: I think the idea is good. A template similar to Wikipedia:Template:Education (much shorter, with good content, and an appropriate, consistent color selection could be helpful. The current {{Education resources}} template is none of those. I would welcome bold improvements. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 17:14, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Education resources Template[edit source]

@Brett Johnston: The {{Education resources}} template is one of many with a similar design that have a negative impact on page usage. I did research on these several years ago and found that the more incoming links a page had (based on these templates), the less likely a page was to be visited. The templates don't encourage usage. They discourage it.

If you believe Education needs something like this, please create a new template, or clean up the existing one significantly so that it has a standard Wikimedia look and feel and links to valuable education resources. Thanks! -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 17:08, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
