Research has shown that Homo Sapiens were present in Africa during the time period that Neanderthals were inhabiting the rest of the world. Through their migration into the rest of Eurasia they replaced Homo Erectus and that the Neanderthals extinction was due to this take over and not interbredding Patricia D B (talk)
