Editing the Projects Page

[edit source]

The following sections provide some guidelines to editing the projects page.

Adding a Project

[edit source]

To add a new proposed project, please follow the following steps:

  1. Create a bullet under "Unstarted Projects" with the title of the proposed project on the first line, followed by a description beneath it.
  2. Link to the project's main page (whether it's created or not)
  3. Start an empty bulleted list of participants in the project underneath of the project description

Example:

  • Unstarted project example
This is an example of an unstarted project's description. Here's what I'm hoping to achieve with this project...here's my contact information...here's any other information needed. The following is a list of active participants in this project:
    • (none)

Starting a Project

[edit source]

To start a project, please follow the following steps:

  1. Move the project's wiki markup from the "Unstarted Projects" section to the section entitled "Projects In-Process".
  2. Add your username to the project's list of participants (preferably linking it to your User Page)
  3. Start the project :)

Joining an Already Started Project

[edit source]

To add yourself to a project that's already begun, add your name to the project's list of participants. As a matter of etiquette, you should probably check with those already involved before jumping in.

Completing a Project

[edit source]

Once a project is completed (assuming any wiki project ever is truly complete ;), please follow the following steps:

  1. Move the project's wiki markup from the "Projects In-Process" section to the section entitled "Completed Projects".
  2. Go hang out with friends, or watch a movie. You've earned it! :-D
