1890 July 30, Prince Charles Edward became Hereditary Prince of Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha after his uncle, Affie (Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, etc.), died.
1897 July 2, Prince Leopold had died (in 1884), but Princess Helena of Waldeck and Pyrmont did not attend the Duchess of Devonshire's fancy-dress ball? Princess Alice of Albany would have been 14, and Princes Charles Edward, 13.
