Lady Aline Beaumont, of Bywell Hall.

A sister of the present Marquis of Londonderry, Lady Aline Beaumont married Mr. Wentworth Beaumont some nine years ago, and speedily made herself popular in the North by her gentle and charming manner. She has hunted with the Tynedale for eight years, but only three days a week owing to the fact that Bywell is not very well situated for several of the meets. This year Lady Aline is hunting four days a week with the Bicester and Grafton, since Bywell is closed for extensive alterations. Lady Aline is fond of the Tynedale, which she considers a fine hunting country, and she has enjoyed many good runs over the lovely grassy tracts. Her favourite horses are called "Convict" and "Orangeman," though she has others which she frequently rides as well, and she is the fortunate possessor of a very beautiful little chestnut Arab which was sent to her from India, and which always goes to town with her to ride.

At the Duchess of Devonshire's fancy-dress ball, Lady Aline Beaumont was

• dressed "as Marie Josephe, of Austria, wore cream satin, embroidered in silver and jewels, the train lined with ruby velvet and bordered with ermine. Lady Aline's rubies and diamonds were superb."
• dressed as Queen of Sardinia, in the Austrian Court of Maria Theresa Quadrille.
• "in this [Marie Thérèse, Empress of Austria's] quadrille, wearing cream satin, the train lined with ruby velvet and bordered with ermine."

Mr. Wentworth Beaumont was also present, and the Times lists them as a couple.
