Psycho-social dynamics/Being a supply teacher

I did not come to teaching through the normal route. Whereas most teachers hate supply, and don't like starting at a new school until the kids have got to know them, I thrived in such environments. I learned many different skills, and put into place many of the principles and teaching techniques I learned in my PGCE. Implementing these skills in a mainstream school from the beginning of the academic calendar has been difficult for me.
