Hi, I'm just new here. If I want to add pictures to an article on what level do I have to take in mind copyright? Is it okay if I just mention the source of the image in the article? Thanks. - (unsigned 11:34, 29 November 2014 by Student212121)
- It depends on the source and the license. You can include anything from Wikimedia Commons just by linking to it. Any images you want to upload yourself would either need to be open content (best uploaded to Commons), or Fair Use content you upload here. The source needs to be included with the image information, rather than the article that links to it. Separately, note that content talk pages aren't always monitored.
