Language departments
[edit source]Language departments at this (English) Wikiversity corresponding to the four current Wikiversities:
- Topic:English - en.wikiversity.org
- Topic:German - de.wikiversity.org
- Topic:Spanish - es.wikiversity.org
- Topic:French - fr.wikiversity.org
We need to coordinate these four first and synchronize some resources on all four versions. We'll tackle the Betas when we get more folks on board. CQ 17:33, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- FYI, it seems that Wikiversities tend to be weakest in their own language—"Topic:Anglais", for example, is much more comprehensive at the French Wikipedia than it is here, and "Topic:French" is much further ahead here than it is at the French Wikiversity. - Interesting phenomenon, JK! BTW, Do you know much about m:Transwiki? I started a Transwiki unit here, but I really need to know more about its past and current culture. I'm thinking that we should use the #wikiversity hub channel for conducting a "symposium" thingie in real time. Erkin Yilmaz, Juandev and Apergos seem interested in something of that nature. Multilingualism is a hot topic at the Wikimedia strategy wiki and it would be a great way for Wikiversity as a Wikimedia sister project to contribute. --CQ 15:59, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
