What is dopamine?
[edit | edit source]Dopamine is a chemical messenger, known as a neurotransmitter, working in the brain to help nerve cells transmit messages in the brain and the rest of the body. Dopamine plays a role in numerous body functions including: motivation, memory, attention and more (Health Direct Australia, 2023).
