Between 2010 and 2024, the required textbook was "Understanding motivation and emotion" by Johnmarshall Reeve, published by Wiley, thus the general structure of this unit follows this textbook. In 2025, the textbook is no longer required, to be consistent with University of Canberra (UC) policy that access to required readings shouldn't involve additional costs for students.
Nevertheless, the Reeve text is highly recommended. There are hard and electronic copies available through UC library and access to the online version can be purchased.
