Circuit Terms

When dealing with circuits, there are a number of different terms that are necessary to understand. First is volts. Volts are an electromotive force. They are the measure of potential difference between any two conductors of the circuit concerned. Amps are the unit of measurement for the intensity of current. Watts are the unit of power. Lastly, ohms are a measurement of resistance in a circuit.
