This quiz is based on the the chromatic scale, excluding the unison (0 half-steps) and octave (12-steps). Before attempting this quiz, you should probably first master three simpler quizzes:

  1. Ear training/Quiz/Major scale
  2. Ear training/Quiz/Minor scale
  3. Ear training/Quiz/Consonant interval


The bottom note for each interval is C. You can hear all seven intervals in this quiz by clicking on each triangle in the images shown on the right. If you don't click "Shuffle questions", these intervals will be heard in the following order:

M3 / Do-Mi / Major third (C E)
P4 / Do-Fa / Perfect fourth (C F)
P5 / Do-Sol / Perfect fifth (C G)
