The task was to create a tower in the ancient city of San Gimignano, Italy and keep in mind the relation it will have to the existing urban area. The tower engages the public by its light steel frame and
glass structure. As the tower is ascended, one passes through two existing towers and may view their rich history on a closer level. Finally one reaches the top arriving at a view of the city and surrounding vast fields. Upon descent from the tower the view of the city unfolds through the glass panels of the roof structure.
