IIn the introduction, William and Michael are introduced as an architect and a chemist respectively, and their storied reasons for starting the c2c movement are outlined. Main Points:

  • Bill's quote, "design is a signal of intention."
what is our intention?
  • Can we design products that "[love] all the children, of all species, for all time?"[1]
  • Can we, the human species, leave an ecological footprint on this planet that we can "delight in, not lament?" [2]
