Overlap Area
[edit | edit source]Due to the shift of one image up and/or down we have reduced overlap area, that contains the joined area available for both eyes. The red and green rectangle shows the source image sizes and the overlap area is joined rectangle.
Source Images for left and right eye
[edit | edit source]The following images are create with a standard camera with horizontal shift to the right with the distance of the two eyes. The following image are used for the generation of an Anaglyph 3D image and the identification of the overlapping area.

Red and Green Filter - Source Image
[edit | edit source]For doing you own experiments e.g. with Open Source GIMP this learning resource provides a colored left and right eye image that is already converted. With the red image for t and green image right

Marked overlapping area
[edit | edit source]After shifting the source images in a transparent mode of layers the final overlapping area in the source image is marked with a red rectangle. The image are shifted in a way that the greenhouse in the background are matching in the overlapping image.

[edit | edit source]The following image is created for a simple VR headset in which you insert you smartphone and the left part of the screen is displayed for the left eye and the right part of the screen is displayed for the right eye.
