It would be wonderful if there were a lesson (either here or at Wikibooks) that could teach identification techniques, and help readers become familiar with a certain set of plants before quizzing them. The Jade Knight 09:46, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's a little easier said than done, but it's a good idea :). To really learn how to identify plants "from scratch", you'd need to develop a dichotomous key (preferably a different one for each region), which is no small undertaking. Down the road a bit we could try to develop seasonal keys by region using the data from the Bloom Clock, but that's going to take a while. In lieu of that, setting up a "comittee" of sorts to help identify plants from photos would at least fill the need while a resource like that was developed. --SB_Johnny | talk 18:35, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
