- On NPOV: My POV on NPOV is that it's an excellent ideal to aspire to, but in practice is all too often interpreted as Not (your) Point Of View (especially when your point of view isn't my point of view).
- On policies and guidelines: If a policy or guideline seems to simply state the obvious, then it's probably a good policy or guideline.
- On being half-Irish: "I'm a son of the revolution and a Quaker besides, so my family looks down on proxy warmongers" (via IRC, 21/04/2007)

- Custodians are just people who have keys to the toolshed.
- Custodians may or may not be community leaders, and community leaders may or may not be custodians.
- Custodians should always follow policies, especially policies that state the obvious.

- I think that the data will in fact suggest a good system for describing the bloom times of most plants.
