Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, this is a solid, interesting chapter about facial expression of emotions.

Theory[edit source]

  1. Key theories are well covered and explained.
  2. Useful summary of Darwin's principles, but I didn't understand the explanation of "opposing states are associated with opposing expressions"

Research[edit source]

  1. Relevant research is reasonably well covered.
  2. Note that Theories can't be proven - they can only be disproven.

Written expression[edit source]

  1. The chapter structure worked well.
  2. The clarity of written expression was Pass-level; check history for suggested redrafting to improve clarity.
  3. Several sentences were too long. For example, where you've used a comma could sometimes instead be a place to put a full-stop. See my editing changes for some examples.
  4. Well done on creating, uploading and correctly licensing these images
  5. Spelling, grammar and proofreading
    1. There were numerous errors; for examples, check the corrections I made in editing the page
    2. Use Australian spelling e.g., hypothesized -> hypothesised
    3. Comma usage was often incorrect (see my edits)
    4. Check consistency of formatting e.g., for Expression-feeling Link
  6. APA style
    1. Check APA style for captioning of Figures and Tables (not "Diagram")
    2. Use ampersand (&) inside brackets and "and" outside brackets.
    3. Mostly citation is well done, however this isn't acceptable "Wikipedia outlines" without citation - use primary sources for core referencing.

Overall[edit source]

8

Overview[edit source]

  1. The presentation was well-structured.
  2. Excellent focus on theories.
  3. Volume was excellent.
  4. Speaking voice was very clear, with good tonal variation, and easy to listen to, but slow down more between sentences.
  5. Slides were very text-based, but the font was readable. However, it's hard to listen to your voice and read so much text (this was true for the early slides, but this improved through the presentation).
  6. Excellent slide on main muscles of the face
  7. Maybe summarise key take-away messages?
  8. Excellent conclusion.
  9. Well done including references.
  10. No acknowledgement of source of images?
  11. Well done on publishing to youtube.
