Talk:Motivation and emotion/Book/2019/Cognitive reappraisal of emotion
Heading casing[edit source]
FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings (or sentence casing). For example, use:
==Cats and dogs== |
Italics[edit source]
Hey, Great start to the book chapter just letting you know when you use italics for referencing you don't use the quotation marks instead you use multiple apostrophes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tutorial/Formatting Goodluck --Quinopop (discuss • contribs) 03:32, 1 September 2019 (UTC)

Comments about draft[edit source]
- Overview - consider incorporating a case study/example
- Consider expanding development of focus questions
- Use active rather than passive voice e.g., "This chapter will explore..." -> "This chapter explores..."
- Rather than "What is cognitive reappraisal?" and "What is emotion regulation?", how about focusing more directly on the topic: "What is cognitive reappraisal of emotion?"
- Expand figure captions to connect with key point(s) being made in the text
- Consider using sub-headings for the main/longest sections
- Avoid directional referencing (e.g., "As discussed above")
- Use interwiki links for the first mention of key words
- See also - include destination in brackets - see examples in other chapters
- References - check and correct capitalisation
- External links - rename link so that it is more user friendly
- Consider inviting peer feedback

Good to see this coming along. Based on a quick review of the latest version, some further suggestions:
- Where a section has sub-sections, include an introductory paragraph before the first sub-section.
- Use 0 or 2 ore more sub-sections - i.e., avoid having a single sub-section
- Remove citations from headings
- See also - consider also linking to relevant book chapters and Wikipedia articles
