Hey! I am pretty familiar with using Mindfulness to help with anxiety and over the years I have immersed myself in the work of Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn (he developed the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program) - it might be worth checking out!

Hello, The chapter looks great so far. Somewhere in your 'quality of life' section you could mention some of the unwanted and sometimes dangerous side effects of anti-anxiety medications. This could then lead to your mindfulness section which represents really well the benefits of early self regulation. Hey lovely, your chapter looks so great. It flows well and its easy to read. I only have one suggestion. The only part this is a little hard to read becuase the sentence is so long, is the part where you are talking about the symptoms of anxiety and how they can be combination of: ... Effectiveness of ACT[edit source]

Hey, your book chapter's coming along really nicely! I was really interested in your ACT section as my cousin is a psychologist and predominantly uses this type of therapy for her clients. It sounds really good, however you might like to add some information on the effectiveness of ACT for Anxiety in comparison to other treatments. I found this article evaluating the effectiveness of ACT which might be nice to tie into this section (doi: 10.1017/bec.2014.5). You might also like to look into some of the work of Russ Harris, as he has written some popular self help books on the use of mindfulness and ACT for Anxiety and Depression - might make it a bit more practical for the reader to understand!   1. Anxiety is defined/described. The description of mindfulness is quite brief - could be expanded.
  2. Mindfulness theory is well covered; research less so.
  3. Several mindfulness-based interventions are described, but perhaps fewer could be described but in more detail. What processes/steps might someone with anxiety go through with a mindfulness-based intervention?
  4. Include citations.

Communication[edit source]

  1. Audio is clear, but slightly too fast to easily comprehend - consider slowing down. See this article for more information about speaking rates.
  2. Visuals are clear and easy to read.

Production quality[edit source]

  1. Overall, well produced.
  2. Rename the title so that it includes the subtitle (and matches the book chapter).
  3. Description is minimal but sufficient (e.g., also include a brief description of presentation, link back to the book chapter, license details, and possibly include references, image attributions, and audio transcript).
  4. A copyright license for the presentation is not indicated (i.e., in the description or in the presentation slides).
