Hi, I think this has come along really well and that you have covered a very difficult topic really well. So interesting and quite subjective in nature so well done for being about to piece together literature on the topic. U116040 25 October

Hi a few thoughts, A way of looking at exploration or further examination might be to visit a site that is considered haunted for themselves haunted hot-spot- http://www.news.com.au/travel/australian-holidays/eight-of-the-scariest-haunted-places-in-australia/story-e6frfq89-1226749844692

It might be a good idea to define 'dualistic' at you use this alot and it wont necessarily be obvious to the lay person what this means.

The theory makes me think of schrodinger's cat, not sure if you can use this as a lay example or not.

Also you could touch on the celebration of the believe of life after death. Halloween and Day of the Dead. Cheers U116040 24 October

Hi, An image you maybe able to use in your chapter is Napoleon III after Death - Illustrated London News Jan 25 1873-2.PNG u116040

Hi, Just wanted to suggest looking at personality types that are more likely to believe in life after death and also perhaps suggest the ideas individuals have about life after death are also influence by age teenagers and Elderly may have very different points on view on what it constitutes. Teenagers think occult and ouija board but elderly view it more restful. something to look at maybe. Cheers U116040

Hey just wanted to suggest maybe looking at different religions and motivation behind them like buddhism and christians. it be interesting to see the differences between the views. All the best ~Iga.leszczynska

Hi there, I really like the structure of your book chapter - it flows really well. The one thing I did notice is that the two pictures on the right side look a bit strange because they appear to be divided up by the table of contents. Other than that it looks great and I look forward to reading more as you upload more content. --U3096823 (discusscontribs) 09:44, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey, this chapter looks like it will be really interesting, i second the thought for including how different religions view life after death, maybe including how some religions view heaven and hell. So far your layout looks really good, good luck finishing up.

Terror Management theory[edit source]

Hi there! Love where you are going with this page, such an interesting topic!! there are quite a few youtube clips out there on theories of life after death. I found a great one on the terror management theory- this Youtube clip goes for almost an hour but it is about the psychology side of the theory and has some great studies in it that test behavioural change etc, definitely worth a watch Youtube clip Good luck with it all, your doing great :) --U3098499 (discusscontribs) 12:51, 21 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Great contextual opening vignette which could be benefited by an info box as it would differentiate it from the overview and beginning. Also have you come across Humanistic Existentialism theories in your research? I think they could help provide theoretical background for this. Also the pessimistic concepts by Freud and his opinions on religion? Looks great though, nice pictures :) Ccgmjb (discusscontribs) 05:34, 21 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Freud's theory on religion[edit source]

Hey, I'm liking your chapter so far, good topic choice, it looks like it would be really interesting! Have you looked into different psychologists and their views on religion. I know Sigmund Freud has an interesting take on religion and why humans 'need' god and religion. It could be useful to incorporate his views. Body-self dualism[edit source]

I don't know who wrote this, but they have the point of my article all wrong. I (K. Mitch Hodge) argue that afterlife beliefs, cross-culturally, are not dualistic. (The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.42.77.221 (talkcontribs) 16 October 2018‎)
