Hey I see you are looking at discussing anticipation and gender differences, in my study i came across anticipation of success followed by the ancticipation of negative consequencesin women. that would be interesting to look into firther in your chapter. the article is 'FEAR OF SUCCESS IN MALES AND FEMALES' by Hoffman in Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology,1974, Vol. 42, No. 3 and contains a little bit on that anticipation. Hey! i found another article that you may potenetially be able to use for treatments of anticipation: Relaxation Versus Cognitive Therapies for Dental Fear — A Psychophysiological Approach by Jesper Lundgren, Sven G. Carlsson, and Ulf Berggren in Health Psychology. (Found on EBSCO database in our library subject guide)best of luck on this chapter. Thosecows (discusscontribs) 09:38, 2 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

I think my previous contribution failed. Take 2. I'm not sure how far you have come in your research. I would consider pursuing anticipation under the core emotion of Fear. How does Anticipation differ to Procrastination? Does the perceived difficulty of the task have an effect on experienced levels of anticipation? Are there gender differences between anticipatory behaviours or inhibitory behaviours that might hold somebody back from a particular behaviour? Is anticipation more related to fear (neg aspect) or curiosity & openness to experience (pos aspect)? Hope these questions help :) Best of luck!

Overall[edit source]

This is a well constructed chapter, which covers the topic comprehensively. Well done!

Theory[edit source]

Relevant theories are included in this chapter, and a sound understanding of the concepts is demonstrated. Well done for providing some examples of practical application. Deeper exploration of the theories presented will greatly benefit the work. Also, try to include evidence of critical analysis.

Research[edit source]

A range of interesting and important research is included in this chapter. Once again, the work would benefit from a more thorough exploration of key studies in this area.

Written expression[edit source]

The structure and flow of this chapter is clear and logical. To improve further, include less slightly less information so that key concepts can be explored in greater detail - some sections seem a little rushed. APA referencing is generally well done. ShaunaB (discusscontribs)

Overall[edit source]

A good summary of chapter content - nice job!

Structure and content[edit source]

Chapter content is summarised well in this presentation, and theory and research are well integrated. The flow is logical and clear throughout.

Communication[edit source]

The presentation was delivered in a clear voice. Some illustrative examples are included, but this could be improved. This would have helped me make the presentation even more engaging.

Production quality[edit source]

Sound and picture quality are good. The presentation could be improved by using some more formal language and rehearsing a few more times. ShaunaB (discusscontribs)
