From Wikiversity

A namespace is an abstract container for grouping related types of pages. Wikiversity currently includes 26 namespaces (13 spaces, each with a talk space).

Namespace	Purpose
Mainspace	learning resources, research projects, etc..
Help	pages that help learners and mentors understand how to use Wikiversity.
Image	describing uploaded files.
Media	the uploaded files themselves
MediaWiki	system messages and cannot be edited by everyone.
Project or Wikiversity	local policies and guidelines specific to Wikiversity.
Talk	discussing improvements, changes and other things related to the content of the page.
Template	things which will be reused and are general enough to be useful in many different cases.
User	registered users descriptions of themselves and various things they are working on.
Category	categorizing content from any namespace in various ways with a predefined layout/structure.
School	Namespace denoting a set of topics organised into a larger schooling arrangement; a collective of similar topics.
Topic	A page regarding a certain project or educational topic.
Portal	A directory to pages concerning material relevant to whatever the Portal is.
