This is the main sorting template that determines which formatting template will be used for information (based on {{article location is}}.

• Template is transcluded into an article page → {{Article info main}}
• Template is transcluded into a talkpage (peer review location) → {{Article info main}}
• Template is transcluded into an /XML subpage → {{Article XML}}
• Template is transcluded into an /Volume_X_Issue_Y subpage or onto a journal front page → {{Article volume summary}}

Usage

The template by default calls information from wikidata:

Parameters can also be provided/overridden manually:

|submitted      = Submission date (if left blank, indicates unsubmited pre-print)
|accepted       = Date of acceptation (if left blank, indicates article still in review)
|license        = Copyright license (default = {{CC-BY work}})
|w1             = Wikipedia article where the article is used
|w2             = etc...
|w_many         = URL for "what links here" page to list more than 10 articles
|abstract       = Full abstract text
|keywords       = Up to six keywords, separated by commas
|toc            = Maximum depth of the table of contents (default is 3)
|italic         = should title be italic (e.g. species name)

To reuse an affiliation for multiple people, you can use the template {{affiliation}}, using the last name of the author who's affiliation is to be repeated in |name=.
