My full name is Brian Salter-Duke, although I was earlier called just Brian Duke and it is with that name that I have published in scientific journals. I was born in Sheffield, England. I am a retired academic now living in Melbourne, Australia. Now I am in my 80's, I am no longer active in research in the fields of computational chemistry, theoretical chemistry and quantum chemistry. I have been an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Monash University Pharmacy Faculty (formerly the Victorian College of Pharmacy), but I do not know whether that is still the case. I am an author of the modern valence bond program, VB2000.

I have been an active editor on the English Wikipedia since the end of October, 2005. I was an administrator there from August 2007 to October 2020. I still edit on the English Wikipedia, but am much less active.

I have contributed to Wikiversity in the School of Chemistry in Computational Chemistry.
