Hypothesis[edit | edit source]

Different tasks among wikipedians (wikigardening, adding external resources, proofreading, programming boots, etc) is equivalent to the same type of specialization among contributors in the development of free source software (adding code, testing programs, correcting bugs, translating, improving usability, etc).

  • Support For me is one of the more clear similarities between Wikipedia and OS development, since it represents and its probably the key of wide participation (a wide offer of thing to do, for so many different people and skills) --Esenabre 22:40, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
