p3-503-SMVS
we opened up the motor and here are the pictures we got from the motor
This is the opened gearbox of the motor.
This is a picture of the motor on the right and the gear box on the left. The wedge coming from the motor goes between the slot in the gear box.
This is where the motor connects to the the gear box giving the ability to increase torque or speed.
This is the back of the motor. the piece of metal i am holding is the break and the lever presses a tiny switch which disengages the voltage to the motor.
After unscrewing the piece we looked at the underside which is this piece the four metal bars you see are the brushes for the motor which are used as magnets and spin the motor. as you can see one of the wires is disconnected, this is why the motor was not spinning.
After unscrewing the bolts to the break we saw this next piece which we lead to believe is right above the motor
The brushes on the right go over the coil of wires on the left and when voltage passes through shaft attached to the wires creates a magnetic field and turns.
