Visio/Importing

From Wikiversity

I've saved this lesson for a little later in the course, because importing someone else's shapes take away from the professionalism of your Visio file. This is because everyone's creative style is different, so incorporating a different style shape into your own design will take away from the unity of the project. When working in groups, it is good to begin by agreeing on a method for creating shapes so you can still have that unity. On the other hand, electricians in particular can benefit from importing shapes because electrical diagrams feature many standard symbols and shapes. There are literally thousands of already made shapes available for free online, which can also make the process much faster if you're less concerned about the quality of your Visio.
