Challenge Based Instruction[edit | edit source]

A challenge begins with an open-ended problem which is followed by an opportunity for students to generate ideas. Through discussion students will encounter various perspectives in regards to the issue and can then reform their ideas for a decision in which they feel is better suited for the problem. Through this approach, the facets of knowledge-, learner-, community-, and assessment-centeredness come into play.
