She gets in, revealing Alden was driving the car. They argue were to eat and finally agree on a place. They pull up and go inside. They argue again about where to sit, and finally, Alden talks Emma into sitting at the bar. They order their drink, but Alden leaves to use the restroom. While he is gone, the bartender (played by Natalie Canerday) notices that something is troubling Emma. They talk as Emma reveals that she does not like the jerk she is stuck with. The bartender gives her advice to leave him and find another person who would treat her better. She takes her advice and leaves. Alden, only to come back to find she's gone, runs after her, but she's already left.

Alden then goes to her house. She gets her attention by throwing rocks at her window. She answers as they once again argue. Alden finally admits that he loves her and asks her to marry her. She thinks about it and agrees.

The film closes as the two walk off into an open field holding hands, as the credits end the film.
