Summary[edit | edit source]
Day 1: God created light and separated it from darkness, and so morning and night were distinguishable from each other
Day 2: God separated the water on Earth and in the clouds by creating the sky
Day 3: God gathered all of the water on Earth into one place and called them seas, and dry Earth he called land which he put vegetation on
Day 4: God put the stars, moon, and sun in the heavens
Day 5: God created water and sky animals and made them multiply
Day 6: God created all land creatures, and made man in his image in order to rule over the animals god put on earth
Genesis 2 & 3[edit | edit source]
Differences[edit | edit source]
- In Genesis 2 & 3 man was created before animals were
- In Genesis 1, the total time for creation was 6 days, while in Genesis 2 & 3 its unknown how long it took
- In Genesis 2 & 3 God is referred to as the lord, while in Genesis 1 he is called god
