Usage
[edit source]How to manage this template's initial visibility
To manage this template's visibility when it first appears, add the parameter:
|state=collapsedto show the template in its collapsed state, i.e. hidden apart from its titlebar – e.g.{{Wikiversity community |state=collapsed}}|state=expandedto show the template in its expanded state, i.e. fully visible – e.g.{{Wikiversity community |state=expanded}}|state=autocollapseto show the template in its collapsed state but only if there is another template of the same type on the page – e.g.{{Wikiversity community |state=autocollapse}}
Unless set otherwise (see the |state= parameter in the template's code), the template's default state is autocollapse.
Purpose
[edit source]This navbox is intended to be a footer version of {{Noticeboard links}}, although it is also a possible replacement.
It is a superset of {{Noticeboard links}}, also including other community-oriented pages on the English Wikipedia.
The idea is to use this as a footer on appropriate pages that don't have the {{Noticeboard links}} header.
It excludes, for the most part, help pages and rule pages. It's more a directory towards tasks, assistance, news and debates.
