Usage

This template can be used as is. Like this:

{{own}}

Then it outputs this:

Own work

It can also take the name of the author as a parameter. Like this:

{{own|John Doe}}

Then it outputs this:

Own work by John Doe.

The template adds the page to Category:Self-published work.
