This Stone soup is getting a bit spicier! A beauty, this article! It persuaded me to start editing on other pages. At first I wasn't very convinced of the possibilities of Wiki Science, or rather, the existing information I found here. Akagu 12:45, 1 Apr 2004 (UTC)

I found an example of something like "pulling up the ladders behind us." You can put questions about a straight text right into the text. Then the keepers of the page could work the answers into the text, I would think. Or, they could just leave the questions "hanging out" on the side, or stached away in an icon that pops out into a full explanation. LionKimbro

Haha, that website was hilarious.

. . . This may be the most complete section of this book, but I didn't understand a word. Perhaps some clarification/links to definitions/etc would be in order? UnDeadGoat 22:59, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What is that smell? Recursion? We need a learner's page markup system in order to improve an article about the need for a learner's page markup system. Maybe UnDeadGoat could start a list of what terms need clarification. --JWSurf 00:16, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

6/10/2007 D L Thomas: According to Carl Sagan, "Cosmos," Episode XI: "The Persistence of Memory," human DNA is a biological memory function composed of 5 Billion Neural Bits of decision-making capacity. 1 bit might make the decisions, for example, is it dark, Yes/No. Is it light, Yes/No. Nature created the human brain to because DNA could no longer support the memory requirements necessary for higher life forms beyond the jelly fish to evolve. The jelly fish has all the organs of humans with the exception of brains, kidneys and lungs. When the brain came into being, it provided the means for amphibians, reptiles, mammals and human species to evolve. The human brain is estimated to have a neural bit capacity of 10 to the power of 14: 100,000,000,000,000 bits. Given this, it should be noted that brains in addition to DNA provide "consciousness."
