Talk:United Kingdom Law/Great Repeal Bill 2008/Debate

Just wondered why there isn't actually a page for discussing whether or not the idea of a great repeal bill is acceptable to the British public? What's the precedent?

There's also an unfortunate far right feeling to the text on the page that lists the bills to be repealed. I'm sorry, but it's coming over as really white middle class nimby males. If this is not true, you need to prove it. Some of the comments frankly wouldn't disgrace the BNP's website.

Difficult to see how you (above) identify either the colour (white) or the sex (male) of the contributors. I am one but not entirely the other! I suspect that what you mean is that the prejudices or enthusiasms of the contributors are not the same as yours. Well this is a wiki so put in your proposals. As for far right I think you will find that right and left unite in being opposed to interference with personal liberties--TimC 10:00, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bill of Rights needed for every australia[edit source]

We as Australians have been oppressed for long enough, with the help of others we should have the right to protect ourselves, ie. Angel was threated with violence, so she was running scared, she still fears for her life, but has evolved to a higher intelligence that well knowledge is power and although the truth is rare, and debating is fun, cutting to the chase is the best method of attack however, the standard ethical dilemna is looking at the history of the right to bare arms, look then at **american** crime rate, however, defending ones life is essential when in a bind.
