Motivation[edit source]

What does predestination motivate? If there was some kind of supernatural agent planning events ahead one could derive an increased motivation to

  • make plans
  • understand how own plans interacted with the plans of others
  • avoid unacceptable situations for others that were the result of
    • allowing predestination to happen
    • making own plans that endorsed or even required those situations

Consequently predestination could be interpreted as that motivation and mentoring would appear to be the solution to the problem. One could also speculate that, in a capitalist society, because of (hypothetical or metaphorical) "competitive karma", there was an increased demand to compensate the effects of capitalism (e.g. with mentoring). --fasten 18:34, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
