Neutron conversions

Well, how does the neutron let a proton convergence with it in the nucleus and that is assuming all protons are individuals and have different personalities, so is the positive charge upon conversion or is it collision? And doesn't the positron replace or transform an electron? What happens to the superfluous electron? That:all for you Now.
