The page on std's has general background information on all of the common std's with the exception of syphilis. Syphilis is an std that has deadly consequences, if untreated, and is easily misdiagnosed. With respect to all of the other std's described on the std page, this page contains very pertinent information to this site and should not be disregarded due to a fear that other encyclopedias have similar information. The majority of wikiversity information can be found in alternate sources. Unless the information has an error or false statement in it this page can only add to the plethera of information contained in wikiversity.
