This article either needs a link to a reference with citations, or needs to include a reference with citations itself, as it claims esoteric knowledge. The Jade Knight 09:25, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

The problem with this is I had been looking for the full 40 (you'll find that the reference you deleted was an article about a CIA agent who referenced the 40 rules) and I had been looking for them for months. I originally found them in an ex-serviceman's magazine online which has since disappeared. These are the preserved 40 rules to the best of my knowledge, and the source is not solely the book on tradecraft, I believe that book is an adaptation. My research shows that the full 40 were released very early, but they are almost invariably never published in full.--Dnjkirk 03:25, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
