I omitted the following from Miscellaneous draft clauses because I felt it was out of place among provisions of general application:

1.-(1) It is hereby declared that there is not and never has been any such thing as a police information notice, harassment warning notice, official warning or first warning under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997, and if a constable purports to give such a notice or warning to another person, that constable shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable, on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for life.
(2) This section is in addition to, and not in derogation of, any offence subsisting at common law.

[Notes   Extent: United Kingdom   This type of so called notice or warning appears to have been invented by police officers acting on their own motion.]
