Phenomenology Online is no more

[edit source]

These pages in Wikiversity have seen little update since 2011... That doesnt matter so much but unfortunately, phenomenologyonline has ceased to exist and, according to its curator, Prof Cathy Adams, Max van Manen is basically of the opinion that it should stay that way (his revised magnum opus was just published). There are some gems in archive.org, such as Phenomenology and Pedagogy (digitised by Cathy Adams), but archive.org features so much pollution that my mobile carrier blocks it for content! Perhaps this could be a useful site for some select items. I'm just going to flag and intention to maybe do some work in these pages to @Joelle Vandermensbrugghe because she originated them. I'll go ahead and add Phenomenology and Practice in the resources section anyway and let's see if Joelle still has an interest here. MJ1735 (discusscontribs) 16:27, 11 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Good news! I heard from the Max and Cathy that phenomenology online is back on the menu - it is live and in need of a lot of work but that is very much going to happen.
Although a decent start, I'm feeling that Joelle has properly departed from editing this page. I have chipped in a couple of edits to start to tidy it up (seems Joelle hadnt realised wiki referencing) and to broaden and hopefully make the page more representative of phenomenology (as opposed to just a brand of qualitative research). Of course, if you do join in, it will be vital to bear in mind that this wikiversity page needs to take a more gentle/educative approach compared with the wikipedia page of the same name.
