Q. What is fossil record? Srinivasasha 11:52, 27 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

It is like any other record, either a criminal record, tax record, linguistic record. It is evidences of a species and that the single specimen existed. All these specimens add up to form a rough chain of evolution is a sequence like Roman or European history. This chain is rough because fossilization is not common and most species dont leave evidence behind. Enlil Ninlil 06:30, 28 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
