Page name[edit source]

Good idea to start this page JT. I was wondering about the page name though. Mainly because I first read the title as it being a practice survey, for open academics... a minor confusion that self corrected of course. Would it be better as "Survey: open academic practice"? --Leighblackall 22:48, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, let's find a better title - maybe something like "Survey of attitudes and practices towards open academia"? -- Jtneill - Talk - c 22:54, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

So the survey will uncover info relating to access, license, format, open practice, and barriers and motivations.. that's great, we badly need this info. I'm wondering if it goes too far to ask questions to uncover info on awareness and attitudes to critiques on institutionalised academic practice vs independent, and on their willingness to consider research and education as done "on the street" or outside the university... you know, the deschooling questions. --Leighblackall 22:52, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, include this - better to start with more and we can prune back if/as necessary. -- Jtneill - Talk - c 22:56, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
