Hello I thought I'd give you a starting reference if you didn't already have one... it talks about popular mood induction procedures. Unfortunately it's a translated article but I think it will still help...Gilet, A. L. (2008). [Mood induction procedures: a critical review]. L'Encephale, 34(3), 233-239. Another article that I think will helps is Larsen, R. J., & Ketelaar, T. (1989). Extraversion, neuroticism and susceptibility to positive and negative mood induction procedures. Personality and Individual Differences, 10(12), 1221-1228. Like in chapter 13 of our text book it talks about personality characteristics and a predisposition to certain moods and thus it's easier to induce certain moods depending on personality?? I think that's what they mean... here's a snippet: "Extraversion is associated with a predisposition to experience positive affect, whereas Neuroticism is associated with a predisposition to experience negative affect...we hypothesized that the efficacy of a negative affect induction would be better predicted from Neuroticism than Extraversion scores, whereas the efficacy of a positive affect induction should be better predicted from Extraversion than Neuroticism scores." Really hope this helps... Good luckU3061292 (discusscontribs) 00:18, 2 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
