Where is this project going?[edit source]

As a writer trying to finish my first novel, I'm very interested in this project.

That said, there doesn't seem to be much going on here. The page hasn't been changed since August, and what's here is only a very small amount of information.

What is the purpose of this resource? Where is it supposed to be going?

What I think of when I read the title "Fiction writing support group" is a page that has all of the following:

1. Extensive links to and discussion of how-to and self-help materials for writers.
2. Discussion of books.
3. A place where writers can share their work and get feedback from other writers.

Of these, only #1 is in place. I suggest we start working on adding the others, unless other participants feel that these are not changes that need to be made or that this project is dead.

I also think it might be good to collaborate with other writing courses and resources so that all students have a place to get feedback on their work. --Luai lashire 18:47, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiversity in general and this project in particular are very new and just getting started. Your plan (above) seems reasonable. There also needs to be a strategy to attract enough participants to have an active learning community. One way to start to do this is to make links here from related pages at Wikipedia. I am new to Wikiversity and just trying to feel my way around things, so forgive me if my posts look a bit messy.

I think Luai has some great ideas for this project and I would be very happy to lend my time and support wherever they're needed! Just let me know. KirbyPuckettFan 21:56, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
